July in the vegie patch, Healthy soil project #3 + My next book!

Kath Irvine and Jason Ross standing with a pile of post-it notes because that's how they roll. In front of trees in blossom in a garden somewhere in Aotearoa New Zealand. WE can't tell you where - because they're writers. And therir communication is terrible ;)

About three years ago Jason Ross and I decided to write a book together – we planned it out on post it notes! Since then we’ve been beavering away like mad, and this week it’s gone off for design and layout. In about 3 months Homegrown Fruit: A Practical Guide will hit the book shops – we cant wait to share it with you!

This is my fourth book. Each book has built on the last, of course that’s how life goes, you learn stuff, you get better at it, and this is the work I am most proud of.

On July 19th I’m giving a talk at Keirunga Homestead in Havelock North as part of Sage journals’ fifth birthday celebration. I’m really looking forward to it! The 2pm session sold old lickety split, so they added another one at 10am which is also selling well – there are about a dozen tickets remaining. Here are all the details including tickets sales.

Yours in the earth, ❤️ Kath
