Spring in the vegie garden is super exciting, but it can also be overwhelming – where to start?! If you are a beginner or squeezed for garden time, stick to crops that provide alot of abundance for a small amount of effort – grow heaps of herbs, a big variety of leafy greens and good old potatoes. Basic these may be, but I would happily live off that trio! In this months newsletter, I share my four potato growing systems – all easy as, by the way.

Be gentle with yourself, this spring, and stop judging your garden on it’s ‘look’ – focus instead on its productivity. Success is being able to harvest something – anything! – for tea. Whether that’s fancy gourmet vegetables or a bunch of chickweed, nettle, kale and parsley – it’s all best food! Don’t worry over every little weed – just focus on the ones that are dominating your crops. Weeds are in fact, an incredible asset, telling you the tale of your unique soil and then steering you towards the perfect solution. They’re your pathway to easy productivity. As the weeds spring forth in the warmer temps – I’m sharing my easy weed management ways, and hoping to convince you to fall in love with them.

Yours in the earth,
❤️
