seedtrayUntreated Macrocarpa Seedtrays (sm) $15.00 each: The perfect size for robust seedlings! The macrocarpa holds water keeping your seedlings moist for longer, but the trays never get a soggy bottom likes plastic does. I've had mine for 15 years and they are still going.... these are the best trays ever!

Also at Commonsense Organics, Paraparaumu.

large seedtrayUntreated Macrocarpa Seedtrays (lg) $23.00: These trays are the next size up for pricking on those bigger seedlings like tomatoes, brassicas, corn and sunflowers. For robust big seedlings keep them going in these trays... planting out bigger seedlings means less problems with drying out, slugs, weather extremes etc.

potato box

Potato Box (1mx1mx600) $115.70 An easy way to grow potatoes (the same system as growing in tyres). Simply build one layer of the box (the wood interlocks - no nails required), lay newspaper on the ground and cover with a layer of compost, and seaweed or comfrey leaves. Place your seed potatoes on top and cover with any organic matter (hay, straw, sawdust, compost, seaweed ....) up to the level of the first layer. As the halums (green tops) grow, add another lot of sides and keep topping up with organic matter until you reach the top. This makes for the easiest potato harvest ever - simply deconstruct the box and forage inside for your bounty of spuds. Use the compost for other garden beds and stack the potato box away till next time (or use it for making compost or storing organic matter or ....) All pieces are interchangeable with both styles of compost bin.

herb spiralHerb Spiral (1.5x1.5x600) $175.00: Our no nail herb spiral design - slots together in 5 minutes. It must be on a flat surface. Fill with organic matter (doesn't have to be all soil can be woodchips, sawdust etc as long as the top layer is soil); and use the different microclimates created by 'going up' for your herbs and flowers - hot, dry lovers at the top eg: thyme and oregano; moisture lovers at the bottom eg: parsley and lemongrass.

closed compostClosed Compost Bin (1mX1mx1m) $195.00 This is the compost bin for those of you who don't turn your compost!...the stack it up and leave it style of compost making. Put it together in 5 minutes - no nails required. These pieces are interchangeable with the potato box and the open compost bin.

open compost

Open Compost Bin (1mX1mx1m) $195.00. This is the compost bin for the compost turners (its the compost bin that I would use). The open bay makes it super easy to use. Don't worry about ingredients falling out - raw organic matter properly layered doesn't go anywhere (unless you have problem dogs or cats and then you may need the closed bin).  Another no nail, interlocking design that takes 5 minutes to put together. All pieces are interchangeable with the potato box and closed compost bin.
