How To Prune Fruit Trees – Martinborough

July 15 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

seckle pre harvest

Good pruning = good fruiting!

Though the best (and simplest) time to train your trees is when they’re young – wild and woolly trees can be bought back into good production and tamed too.

Today we are learning on some older, neglected fruit trees  – a plum, an apricot, an apple and a pear. I’ll show you how to prune a newly planted tree and a young nectarine too.

Take home my pruning notes, and enjoy a homemade morning tea and cup of coffee.

Wear your gumboots.

Because pruning can only happen on a dry day, we’ll have to be flexible! Postponement date is Saturday 22 July.
